Elements and Performance Criteria
- Plan for the bulkstorage of LPG
- Equipment is checked for correct operation and safety in accordance with manufacturer instructions and workplace procedures
- Work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), environmental and sustainable energy policies and procedures for the control and storage of LPG at a terminal are obtained and communicated to relevant person/s
- Work is prioritised and sequenced for completion within acceptable timeframes following consultation with relevant person/s in accordance with workplace procedures
- Hazards and WHS/OHS risks are identified and prioritised and control measures implemented and monitored
- Relevant work permit/s are obtained to access, isolate/de-energise systems and perform the work in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
- Person/s, equipment, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE) and appropriate valves are identified, scheduled, obtained and checked for correct operation and safety in accordance with workplace procedures
- Person/s at work site are confirmed to be current in related work procedures in accordance with job requirements
- Site is prepared to minimise risk and damage to property, commerce and individuals in accordance with work schedule and workplace procedures
- Person/s participating in the work, including plant operators and contractors, are briefed and responsibilities confirmed in accordance with workplace procedures
- Control storage of LPG
- Hazardous activities are performed safely and currency maintained as required in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
- Bulk LPG storage at the terminal/depot is controlled and monitored in accordance with work schedule and workplace procedures
- Emergency response procedures, potential hazards, risks and control measures are monitored and preventative action taken/referred to appropriate authorities, where required, in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
- Abnormalities and unplanned events encountered while controlling the storage of LPG in a terminal/depot are identified and actioned in accordance with responsibility and workplace procedures
- Fault-finding and troubleshooting techniques are applied to identify any repairs or maintenance to operational systems and equipment and documented in accordance with workplace procedures
- Quality and safety checks of the terminal/depot storage facilities are undertaken in accordance with workplace procedures
- Complete work and relevant documentation
- Accidents and injuries are reported in accordance with requirements and workplace procedures
- Terminal/depot is cleaned up and made safe in accordance with job instructions and workplace procedures
- Tools, equipment and any surplus resources and materials are cleaned, checked and returned to storage in accordance with workplace procedures
- Relevant work permit/s are signed off and equipment is returned to service in accordance with requirements and workplace procedures
- Work completion documentation is completed and provided to the appropriate person/s in accordance with workplace procedures
