Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Plan for the bulkstorage of LPG
  2. Equipment is checked for correct operation and safety in accordance with manufacturer instructions and workplace procedures
  3. Work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), environmental and sustainable energy policies and procedures for the control and storage of LPG at a terminal are obtained and communicated to relevant person/s
  4. Work is prioritised and sequenced for completion within acceptable timeframes following consultation with relevant person/s in accordance with workplace procedures
  5. Hazards and WHS/OHS risks are identified and prioritised and control measures implemented and monitored
  6. Relevant work permit/s are obtained to access, isolate/de-energise systems and perform the work in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
  7. Person/s, equipment, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE) and appropriate valves are identified, scheduled, obtained and checked for correct operation and safety in accordance with workplace procedures
  8. Person/s at work site are confirmed to be current in related work procedures in accordance with job requirements
  9. Site is prepared to minimise risk and damage to property, commerce and individuals in accordance with work schedule and workplace procedures
  10. Person/s participating in the work, including plant operators and contractors, are briefed and responsibilities confirmed in accordance with workplace procedures
  11. Control storage of LPG
  12. Hazardous activities are performed safely and currency maintained as required in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
  13. Bulk LPG storage at the terminal/depot is controlled and monitored in accordance with work schedule and workplace procedures
  14. Emergency response procedures, potential hazards, risks and control measures are monitored and preventative action taken/referred to appropriate authorities, where required, in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
  15. Abnormalities and unplanned events encountered while controlling the storage of LPG in a terminal/depot are identified and actioned in accordance with responsibility and workplace procedures
  16. Fault-finding and troubleshooting techniques are applied to identify any repairs or maintenance to operational systems and equipment and documented in accordance with workplace procedures
  17. Quality and safety checks of the terminal/depot storage facilities are undertaken in accordance with workplace procedures
  18. Complete work and relevant documentation
  19. Accidents and injuries are reported in accordance with requirements and workplace procedures
  20. Terminal/depot is cleaned up and made safe in accordance with job instructions and workplace procedures
  21. Tools, equipment and any surplus resources and materials are cleaned, checked and returned to storage in accordance with workplace procedures
  22. Relevant work permit/s are signed off and equipment is returned to service in accordance with requirements and workplace procedures
  23. Work completion documentation is completed and provided to the appropriate person/s in accordance with workplace procedures
